3. Description of how our Services meet Accessibility Requirements

We endeavor to make our digital offerings accessible in accordance with the legal requirements. The specific technical measures are based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 with conformance levels A and AA. To assess conformity, automated tests, manual tests and functional tests with assistive technologies were carried out by our internal team of experts (self-assessment). We are guided by the four basic principles of accessibility:

3.1 Perceptibility

  • We offer text alternatives for non-textual content such as images and graphics
  • Our content is designed in such a way that it can be presented in various forms
  • We pay attention to sufficient contrasts between text and background
  • Audio and video content is provided with subtitles or transcriptions

3.2 Usability

  • All functions can be operated via the keypad
  • Users have enough time to read and use content
  • We refrain from content that could trigger seizures
  • We offer assistance for navigation and orientation

3.3 Comprehensibility

  • Texts are legible and easy to understand
  • Websites behave predictably
  • We help users to avoid and correct errors

3.4 Robustness

  • Our content is compatible with current and future technologies
  • We use standard-compliant programming

4. Non-accessible Content

The following content of our digital offerings does not yet fully comply with accessibility requirements.

Some older product images in archive areas of our digital offerings do not yet have complete alt text or sufficient descriptions. This content was created before the national implementation laws of the European Accessibility Act came into force and falls under the exemption for archive documents. We are continuously working to provide product images in active sales areas with meaningful alt text.
