E-mobility – New VW ID.4 pool vehicle

On October 16th, a new vehicle was added to our fleet. This is a VW ID.4, a purely electric car. This is equipped with all contemporary comfort and safety features.
The 77 kWh battery offers a range of up to 450km. Charging at our company is currently only possible provisionally, but the charging station will come in the next few weeks. Outside the company, charging can be done at almost any public charging point with the existing charging card, with the exception of almost only the Tesla Superchargers. 95% of the European charging network is covered by the card.
During the journey, it is advisable to orientate yourself at the fast-charging stations that have an output of at least 100 kW. At these stations, a charge from 5% to 80% takes about 30 minutes, and you then have a range of over 300 km again – the perfect time to enjoy a freshly brewed Melitta coffee.
If the route is guided via the vehicle's internal navigation device, the car also takes over the charging planning and leads to the next free charging station when a critical battery level is reached. An overview of the possible charging points is provided by the "Charge now for business" app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
